The Scottish Poetry Library is the place for poetry in Scotland, for the regular reader, the serious student or the casual browser.
Located in Edinburgh, near the Scottish Parliament on the Canongate, and with 13 partner collections across Scotland, the SPL holds a unique reference and lending collection of over 30,000 items of Scottish and international poetry, including books, pamphlets, magazines, cuttings and audio materials.
The SPL works with schools and communities, and holds events, workshops and reading groups.
They have been bringing people and poetry together for 25 years, and are delighted to be joining Stephen Raw in celebrating Burns on his 250th anniversary.

Hello! I will be on the Tahitian Princess at the Edinburgh port on May 28th from 8AM-6PM and would like to visit the Scottish Poetry Library. Do you have any recommendations on the best way to get to the library from the port and on any events occurring at that time in the library? Thank you!
Warm regards,
Karen
